Sedona Tours & Adventures
From iconic Pink Jeep rides through red rock canyons to silent balloon flights at sunrise, Sedona offers guided experiences that will be the highlight of your trip.
Jeep Tours
The quintessential Sedona adventure. Off-road Jeep tours take you deep into the red rock backcountry on trails inaccessible by car, with expert guides sharing geology, history, and local lore.
Broken Arrow Trail
$100–$130/personPink Jeep’s flagship tour and Sedona’s most popular Jeep experience. You’ll traverse steep slickrock terrain in a custom open-air Jeep, climbing rock ledges and descending into canyons. The trail passes through Submarine Rock, Chicken Point overlook, and the dramatic Broken Arrow formation.
Diamondback Gulch
$100–$130/personA rugged backcountry trail through Dry Creek Basin that offers a wilder, less-trafficked alternative to Broken Arrow. The route follows a rocky wash past towering red rock spires and through tight canyon passages.
Soldier Pass Trail
$80–$120/personA Jeep tour through the Soldier Pass area that includes the Devil’s Kitchen sinkhole and the Seven Sacred Pools. Several operators run this route, offering different perspectives and guide styles.
ATV & Side-by-Side Tours
For visitors who want to drive themselves through the backcountry, ATV and side-by-side (UTV) tours offer a hands-on adventure through Sedona’s off-road terrain.
Guided ATV Adventure
$150–$250/personDrive your own ATV or side-by-side through desert trails with a guide leading the way. Routes vary from beginner-friendly to advanced terrain. You’ll cover more ground than a Jeep tour and have the thrill of driving yourself through canyons and washes.
Extreme Terrain UTV Tour
$200–$350/vehicleTackle Sedona’s most challenging off-road terrain in a side-by-side UTV. These tours take you to remote areas with steep climbs, rock crawling, and canyon crossings that push the limits of the vehicles.
Helicopter Tours
See Sedona’s red rock formations from a perspective few people experience. Helicopter tours offer bird’s-eye views of canyons, mesas, and formations that are inaccessible from the ground.
Red Rock Panorama
$150–$200/personA quick but spectacular overview flight that circles the major red rock formations including Cathedral Rock, Bell Rock, Courthouse Butte, and Snoopy Rock. The short flight time packs in an incredible amount of scenery.
Extended Canyon Flight
$250–$400/personAn extended flight that covers the full Sedona landscape, flying over Secret Canyon, Boynton Canyon, Oak Creek Canyon, and the Verde Valley. Some tours include a landing at a remote scenic point for photos.
Hot Air Balloon Rides
Float silently over the red rocks at sunrise for one of Sedona’s most magical experiences. Balloon rides launch at dawn when the air is calm and the light paints the rocks in gold and amber.
Sunrise Balloon Flight
$250–$350/personThe classic Sedona balloon experience. Launch at dawn from a field near the red rocks and float 500–2,000 feet above the landscape as the sunrise illuminates the formations below. Most flights include a champagne toast and light breakfast on landing.
Wine Tours
The Verde Valley has quietly become one of Arizona’s premier wine regions. Several tour operators offer guided visits to tasting rooms in Jerome, Cottonwood, and the Page Springs area.
Verde Valley Wine Trail Tour
$100–$180/personA guided tour of 3–4 wineries and tasting rooms in the Verde Valley wine corridor. Stops typically include Page Springs Cellars, Javelina Leap Vineyard, and Oak Creek Vineyards, with transportation between venues so everyone can enjoy the tastings.
Jerome Winery & Art Tour
$120–$200/personCombine wine tasting with Jerome’s ghost town charm. Visit Caduceus Cellars (owned by Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan), Jerome Winery, and local art galleries. The scenic drive through Mingus Mountain is a bonus.
Stargazing Tours
Sedona’s dark skies, high elevation, and dry climate create exceptional conditions for stargazing. Professional astronomers lead tours with high-powered telescopes.
Evening Star Adventures
$60–$100/personGuided stargazing sessions at dark-sky locations around Sedona using professional-grade telescopes. Astronomers guide you through constellations, planets, nebulae, and galaxies. On clear nights, the Milky Way is visible to the naked eye.
